Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting a key client with their search of a Quantity Surveyor; being the lead supplier for one of the biggest names within the construction industry, my client is now in search for an experienced and knowledgeable quantity surveyor.
Being a leading developer with a strong track record of being a focused and commercially driven business are currently in search for a competent, proficient quantity surveyor with a 'can do' attitude. Having a strong track record, staff and capturing value as an asset, they are known for their exceptional projects and high staff retention rate. A quantity surveyor who has the capability to control commercial and financial aspects of the project as well as be able to provide advice and report on contracts is the criteria the candidate should be able to match. The individual will also have quality knowledge of subcontract management and have well developed project and time management skills enabling them to know how to prioritise their workload.
The ideal candidate will be joining them on a redevelopment project valued at £22million. A project that will consist of a residential development of care homes. The individual will be based in the office however, will be travelling to site in around London. The company that the individual will be working for is a reputable and ambitious company within the construction industry; the individual will be working in a culture where delivering projects to the highest standard is key and people are ambitious, driven and committed.
As a quantity surveyor, you will have a previous track record for working alongside a main contractor as well as housing developer. The model candidate will be familiar with handling large tenders and will be ready to take on new challenges on a daily. Your day to day duties will entail, assisting with the management of the project as well as be able to supervise and lead commercial, financial and contractual elements to amplify profitability and make sure the companies legal and contractual requirements are met with.
