Quality Technician


Quality Technician - Dursley, Gloucestershire - £20,000 - £22,000 pa

Acorn Recruitment is currently looking for a Quality Technician for a large international food manufacturing company based in Gloucestershire.

Your own transport is recommended due to the rural location.

The working hours will be: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm

Our client is flexible and will consider somebody with a background in A Level chemistry; they are happy to train the right candidate or will consider degree qualified individuals or those with previous experience in a similar role.

You will be responsible for Quality Control for incoming raw materials and finished goods and your duties will include the following:

*The preparation of pre-shipment, raw materials and finished product samples and implementation of relevant QC testing as per the site testing schedule.
*The quality inspection of raw materials and finished product as per the site inspection schedule.
*Raw materials and finished product shelf life testing, as per the site procedures.
*The maintenance of results via the relevant files and SAP system as per the site procedures.
*Maintenance of commercial samples data base and relevant documentation and sending commercial samples when requested.

Knowledge / Experience required for Position:

*Strong organisational skills, including ability to follow assignments through to completion.
*Attention to detail and good follow through with a high level of accuracy.
*Ability to work towards deadlines..
*Ability to act on own initiative, working alone or in a team environment.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels of the organisation.
*Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Particularly Outlook and Excel)
would be an advantage, however all training will be provided.
