Acorn Recruitment is searching for a Depot Manager to join our client, a leading provider or waste management based in Chester.
The purpose of role is to manage the day to day operations of the site handling non-hazardous trade and commercial waste.
* Duties and responsibilities will include the management of the fleet of trade waste / hook lift collection vehicles.
* Managing the plant and transfer facility at site in accordance with the site environmental permit, current legislation and regulatory compliance.
* Enforcing health and safety on the site.
* Staff management
* Risk assessments and 3rd party contractors.
The successful candidate with have previous experience within the waste operations industry on a materials recovery facility. Waste processing, handling, transfer, bulking operations and hold a COTC / WAMITAB qualification.
Must be able to work as part of a team, organise and prioritise a busy workload in order to meet deadlines.
A full driving licence is required along with flexibility to travel for meetings / training / site visits.
Hours of work: 40hrs per week
Salary: Dependent on skills and experience to offer.
