With many projects now starting to pick up after a tough year clients are starting to look out for strong Quantity Surveyors from the civils market. If you are a QS who has a background working for strong Main Contractors on civil projects and locally suited for Kent this could be a perfect opportunity for you. My client would require you to have strong knowledge working on the NEC form of contract.
Working for this client you will be working mostly under the Senior Quantity Surveyor who will provide support. But you will also need to be confident in working on your own also. You will have packages to manage which could value from £500k to £5 million in value. You will also be doing the reporting and liaising with the client. You need to have a driven attitude and be a hard worker. If you feel you have these skill sets then this is the role for you.
I would be happy to have contractors who show longevity on the CV with other clients. This role will also provide you a long term goal to go PAYE with this client.
