An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join them. This role would involve working within a specialist unit dedicated to dealing with the management of the property and financial affairs of people who lack the ability to deal with these themselves. The Unit also manages the financial affairs of individuals who require a Trust as they have been assessed as being able to manager their own affairs.
This role assists in liaison with clients. You will be responsible for managing the day to day finances of approximately 135 individuals to include:
* Managing bank accounts via the internet banking system
* Managing cash flow
* Checking and supervising the Annual Accounts that are submitted to the Court of Protection
* Liaising with Independent Financial Advisors (IFA's) in relation to the investment of funds
* Billing files
* Arranging payments and purchases
Applications are welcomed from candidates who have experience of managing financial accounts, have used banking and accounting systems and are competent users of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and databases.
The successful candidate will need to be highly numerate, methodical, accurate and be able to work as part of a dedicated team who are committed to working with clients and their families to ensure their particular needs and requirements are met and that the client's has the maximum independence that is possible.
AAT qualification would be advantageous but it is not a prerequisite for this role.
